Nick has been playing the drums in various bands
since age 13 always gravitating to the blues with partner in crime Les
LeSaux. Nick's experence includes playing disco hits at the Hippodrome
with ‘too LOUD a drum kit.' Nick and Les' playing careers converged
in their school years, where they formed the soul and blues review band,
PJ Blue and the Players in the late 80's, moving onto gigwith harmonica
virtuoso Jez Walker and The Doghouse Blues Band. A move to Southampton
prompted a spell in the Indy scene of the early 90’s, whilst also moonlighting
in a ‘successful’ function band. The very words “it’s a wedding” still
cause Nick great stress. He’s appeared with acts as diverse as Morris
Minor and The Majors to Johnny Mars and an audition for Opportunity
Knocks. Les and Nick linked up with Carlos in The Binmen band with ex-Long
Tall Texan Mark Denman, and later the blues-funk Hammond-fest, ChilliBeef.
