Master of logistics, LeS is at the forefront of confusion,
but can still count well enough to play the bass in time. He began his
musical career as a 15-year old with influences such as Metallica and
Iron Maiden, he is truly old skool – which is where he now teaches.
He later formed the band ‘Carn’ with Chris ‘the Greek’ Frampton (alas
no relation to Peter Frampton) eventually roping in Nick and others
to create PJ Blue and the Players. At University Nik deployed his vast
imagination in naming his next band ‘Cained’ – his introduction to blues-based
funk and acid Jazz, with the emphasis strongly on the ‘acid’ bit. A
long time, long-suffering, long haired Queens Park Rangers supporter,
feeling the blues comes as second nature. Nik has sung, played bass,
harmonica and drums in an eclectic range of music serving time with
ChilliBeef, The Black Jacks, Mickey Hart and the Hartbrakers, The Binmen
and scarily an appearance at a Boogaloo Blues Festival with Doc Cox...
